The 2009 Mazda 6 is all-new, bigger, roomier, more refined. It has moved from the fringes of the market closer to the mainstream mid-size sedans, yet Mazda has kept the soul of the niche that enjoys driving and doesn't consider a car mere transportation.
The Mazda 6 is completely redesigned for 2009. Featuring a stronger optional 3.7-liter V6 engine, the new Mazda 6 is bigger and more refined.
Only one bodystyle, the sedan, is available. The hatchback bodystyle has been discontinued for 2009.

The 2009 Mazda 6 Sedan is powered by a base 2.5-liter Inline-4 with 170 hp. Also available is a 3.7-liter V6 with 272 hp.
